As a consequence of the reorganisation of Aker ASA last year, myAker.net will no longer be updated on a regular basis. This window and link to the web site will therefore be removed during the summer of 2010.

Aker Clean Carbon launches strategic business development network

The technology company Aker Clean Carbon (ACC), a provider of turn-key solutions along the Carbon Capture and Storage value chain, is establishing a global business development network together with Aker Solutions, a global provider of engineering and construction services, which will further strengthen the two companies’ presence in the carbon capture and storage industry.
The network will make it easier to connect with the most appropriate contact associated with Aker’s carbon capture and storage activities in each region around the world.
Aker Clean Carbon has started work on European Technology Centre Mongstad in Norway, one of the biggest and most advanced CO2 capture facilities in the world. The company is also boosting its international activities, and is competing to build the world’s first full-scale CCS facility at a coal-fired power station.
”This is an exciting time for Aker Clean Carbon. We have a number of exciting projects underway, and higher activity levels mean we are hiring more people,” says Jan Roger Bjerkestrand, CEO of Aker Clean Carbon.
